Public Charter Schools

All public charter schools in Lee County are sponsored by the School Board of Lee County, but are operated independently of the School District of Lee County. Each charter school has its own governing board, which is a non-profit organization which has applied for and received a charter contract. Some of those governing boards then hire an education service provider to actually run the day-to-day operations of the school.
